An existential decision for U.S. & Global human rights –
A nuclear and ballistic missile arms race, either as a result of actual, or perceived deficiencies in the Obama, U.N., Iran deal, is already underway many. experts observe. If true, there is no telling who will write the history of this U.S. generation’s moment. If passage or defeat leads to proliferation, history will likely be written by those who are the enemies of individual human rights, freedom liberty and pursuit of happiness. If they are allowed to write it, history will likely say this about the U.S.;
That the American people were either willingly led by capitalist tyrants, looking for a reason to modernize and increase U.S. nukes, or they were too lazy and drugged up to defend their so-called human rights. In the end it will be said, they lost the will to preserve those rights and stop nuclear proliferation to the enemies of those rights. President Obama, it will be argued, driven by his legacy, was just an excuse the American people hid behind.
If this deal is a failure, it will be recorded that Americans voted for rulers who promised to sustain profit and avoid struggle rather than to defend human rights. This it will be argued, generated the political capital the political ruling class required to strengthen the enemies of human rights like Iran, Russia Cuba and various terrorist groups.
If the US fails to use sound judgement, the world will conclude, as did the Japanese and the Nazis before WWII, that the U.S. system of individual freedom in the end, is only able to produce a self-absorbed, violent, sex obsessed culture. That the U.S. system is a culture that will always naturally, eventually give way to a ruling class of crony capitalists. That such a system, over time, inevitably relinquishes power to those not interested in preserving and defending Human Rights.
These writers of history will show countless examples of the self-absorbed U.S. culture, often portrayed by President Obama’s big Hollywood donors and promoted throughout their big medias. It will be said, that this self obsessed, violent sex culture of drones, pleasures, Kardashians and easy fixes could never have been expected muster the will necessary to stand against tyrannical enemies of human rights.
U.S. must vigorously, thoroughly debate the agreement on merits
Look out if the world, as a result of a hasty vote either for ratification or defeat of this deal, is suddenly faced with increased military threats from tyrants. If this happens, the people of the world will likely be advised to abandoned their now discredited dreams of human rights and look for the best tyrant they can find to save them. When they do, they will want their tyrant to have a ballistic missile and a nuke.
The U.S. is still a semi-self governing enterprise, U.S. citizens need to be oh so very careful when urging the people’s representatives to vote on this agreement. The U.S. people will rightly and possibly forever be blamed, if they do not force their representatives to base their vote clearly on defending human rights against tyrants who oppose those rights.
If human rights are to remain a part of civilization, the vote on this deal must be shown to be a reflection of a sober consideration of the US voters, attempting to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles to the enemies of those rights, for much, much longer than only 10 years.
