The Selection Committee concept is offensive
Bunch of control freaks really. Political appointees and reps holding a talent contest is annoying at best. Tell you what. The last people I want censoring my entertainment it is the government. I can make up my own mind if the entertainment is any good.
Try serving the public for a change and regulate the density of performance only. The people are the only ones fit to judge the quality of their streets. Stop confirming the public impression of government arrogance and stay within your limits of service.
Here is the way an entertainer gets accepted into the selection committee matrix. According to the selection committee guidelines, buskers will be evaluated on three categories, including skill and proficiency, audience enjoyment and stage presence. Those with an average score of 11 will pass the audition and receive a busking permit.
