No one except an extremist idiot would march in support of racist hate speech. So no one showed up to support what Fox, CNN and the rest of the establishment media reported as a racist “Conservative Free Speech Rally”. According to the media conservative free speech is speech that welcomes to one degree or another, white racism and hate. So good Americans naturally showed up to exercise their free speech rights to protest racist hate speech in Boston and throughout the US. The protest organizers who advocate for government controlled speech to one degree or another were labeled as mainstream in the establishment press. In fact mainstream outlets made no attempt to prominently explore in any detail the backgrounds of either the event or protest organizers.
Boston Free Speech Coalition
But what was the message all week long from one of the main organizers of the Free Speech Rally? A Boston Free Speech Coalition member was interviewed today in this Local CBS Boston Report after their rally was called off on the spot. The person interviewed said these events have nothing to do with white nationalism or racism and the group is not affiliated with the Charlottesville rally organizers in any way.
The statement on their Facebook Page was completely ignored by the establishment press. Here are some excerpts.
“Free speech is a general term that attracts people of all spectrums to come together for the purpose of exchanging ideas and advocating for the causes they support.”
“How about this expression: “sunlight is the best disinfectant”? Allowing people the freedom to say whatever stupid things they wish is better than the alternative. Regulating certain forms of speech drives extremists underground, where they have to meet in private. It creates resentment towards society, and these groups end up resorting to actual terrorism in order to change things. We can prevent all that by allowing open and honest discourse, if only to publicly ridicule and shame the ideology. With words, not violence. How else do hearts and minds get changed?”
